What is the Junior Kart School?

It is a go-karting school which takes place at the DRIVER Como, using the tracks of “indoor karting”and“Ice Kart“.

Who is it for?

The course is aimed at children and teenagers from 9 to 14 years old.

EVERYONE can participate, both for those who have never driven a go-kart and are about to do so for the first time, and for those who are already familiar with the steering wheel and want to improve their skills. 

Then, during every lesson, the instructors they create different groups based on the skill level of each participant.

What courses are available?

NEW: It is possible to choose between the course ’SPRINT“, consisting of 3 lessons, or the course “INTENSIVE“, consisting of 5 lessons + final race.

What is the difference between the SPRINT course and the INTENSIVE one?

The difference between the 2 courses is ONLY the duration. The first 3 lessons are common to both courses, whereas only the INTENSIVE course includes an additional 2 lessons, including the end-of-course competition.
Both courses are suitable both for those with no experience with karts and for those who want to improve their driving skills.

When do the courses take place?

Classes take place on TUESDAY from the hours of 18:30 at 20:00.

What are the aims of the course?

The aim of the course is to enable children and teenagers who have never been in a Go Kart to learn how to drive it in complete safety, with the correct racing lines and a good speed (according to their abilities).

For those who are already more experienced, the aim is to improve their driving skills, perfecting them and acquiring ever-greater speeds.

The Intensive course, which includes 2 more lessons than the Sprint, allows you to acquire a clearly superior driving level, as well as offering a fun and adrenaline-fuelled finale with the end-of-course race.

How is the course structured?

The course is run in collaboration with the Ferrari Club Como and is taught by professional racing drivers/instructors. 

Each lesson has a duration of 90 minutes , from the time 18:30 at 20:00.

There is a planned theory section in the lecture hall followed by a practical part on the Ice Kart and Indoor Kart tracks. The karts used by the school are all electric and the speed is controlled by the instructor according to the ability of each child.

For each participant, the school provides helmets and disposable helmet liners. Anyone wishing to use their own personal helmet may do so, provided that it is a full-face helmet.

How much does the Junior Kart School cost?

• 120€ - the SPRINT COURSE over 3 EVENINGS
• 180€ – the INTENSIVE COURSE of 5 EVENINGS with FINAL COMPETITION

What do I need to do to enrol my child?

To enrol a child in the next Junior Kart School, it is sufficient to pay the registration fee, indicating the participant's first and last name and the chosen course.
